The Holidays are Here!
Don't fear entertaining this holiday season, offer up some Kings Coast Coffee and you'll be sure to please the crowd!
We are excited as we're launching our Winter Menu at the Kings Coast Cafe and decided that we would share some of our recipes for you to replicate at home. We've come up with a few really great ones that we'll be sharing, so let's start off with our Eggnog Latte!
Traditional Eggnog will work just fine, however if you're looking for a less heavy and dairy free alternative, we've got you covered. You'll need a couple things from the grocery store or Amazon to make this one at home, but the majority of the ingredients are most often found around the home in the spice cabinets or drawers.
Oatmilk has become a cafe staple here, it's great because it offers the creamy decadence of traditional milk but a great dairy and nut free option for those who may have intolerances. We love the Califa brand Barista series, Oatly is another great brand to use.
So here's the recipe for our Vegan Eggnog:
Ingredients:
946ml |
Califa Oatmilk Barista Series |
125 ML 1 tsp 1 tsp ¼ tsp ¼ tsp Pinch |
Real Maple Syrup Bourbon or Vanilla Extract Ground Clove Tumeric Kosher Salt |
Directions:
-Combine all ingredients in a blender and mix til nice and frothy!
-Store in fridge to get extra cold before serving
Once you've made the eggnog, it's time to brew some coffee! If you don't have an espresso machine at home, we recommend brewing a stronger cup of our Christmas Blend. Standard ratios would be a 15:1 however if we're trying to replicate an espresso style shot, you'll want to use a bit more grind, grind finer and use a little less water. We'd say go with a 8:1 ratio for brewing.
Now to make our Eggnog Latte! It can be served hot or cold, we prefer a chilled version here.
